Alumni/ae Awards

The Archbishop John Carroll Caritas Alumni Award

Social justice is a reflection of God’s essential respect and concern for each person and an effort to protect the essential human freedom necessary for each person to achieve his or her destiny as a child of God.

Catholic social teaching is built on a commitment to the poor. This commitment arises from our Baptism and experiences of Christ in the Eucharist. The principle of serving others is the first ingredient in leading. Therefore, our commitment to the Catholic social mission must be rooted in and strengthened by our spiritual lives.”
