The John Carroll School has a well-established international student program that supports and furthers the mission of the School in developing students who will embrace opportunities and excel as responsible participants in the global society.

The program strives to maintain a diverse mix of students from all over the globe. Our 2015-2016 academic year includes 67 international students from eleven countries: Belgium, Canada, China, Germany, Honduras, Liberia, Lithuania, Montenegro, Nigeria, South Korea and Vietnam. We have also recently had students from Cameroon, Croatia, Italy, Japan, Poland and Spain.

In order to become fully integrated members of the John Carroll community, first year international students participate in a mentorship program which pairs them with American students who are interested in building international friendships. International students also participate in excursions to cities such as Washington, D.C. and New York and attend special events such as our annual International Student Potluck Dinner and yearly Lunar New Year Celebration.

"John Carroll prepared me for college in many ways, especially managing my time and guiding me through the college application process in the United States."

- Shitang (Gavin) Ding, Engineering Major at Penn State University
