School Nurse
The John Carroll School seeks a qualified School Nurse for full-time employment.
The School Nurse is responsible for promoting and maintaining the health and well-being of students and staff. This role provides direct healthcare services, manages student health records, responds to medical emergencies, and supports a safe and healthy learning environment. As a representative of The John Carroll School, the employee is expected to support and carry out the School’s Catholic mission.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide first aid, emergency care and routine health assessments for students and staff
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and school policies
- Monitor and manage student health plans, including allergies, asthma, diabetes and other chronic conditions
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records
- Assist in the collection and management of health forms
- Create and maintain documentation of all encounters, assessment and interventions
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and coordinate with parents, emergency contacts and healthcare providers
- Educate students and staff on health, wellness, nutrition and disease prevention
- Ensure compliance with state and local health regulations
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, administrators, and parents to support student health needs
- Develop and implement individual healthcare and emergency action plans

Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Director of Learning Support Services
The John Carroll School seeks a qualified Director of Learning Support Services for full-time employment. The Director will be expected to oversee the multiple tiers for Learning Support Services at John Carroll. It is important to create a safe and optimal learning environment in which student progress is documented, individual student needs are addressed, and effective communication with students, parents, administration, faculty, and staff thrives. Duties & Responsibilities
- Effectively collaborate with teachers to implement best teaching practices for students with learning differences to include planning and consultation regarding assignments and assessments
- Support teachers by offering resources, assistance, advice and training to enable them to better meet the needs of all learners
- Evaluate and create Individual Accommodation Plans using data from clinical neuropsychological assessments
- Monitor student accommodations and intervention plans
- Review admissions files, collaborate with the Admissions Office, and meet with new families whose students have been identified as needing suppor
- Ensure implementation of accommodations and services are met in the classroom
- Coordinate Summer Enrichment Program
- Maintain detailed records of internal and external communication and confidential student documentation
- Facilitate Student Support Meetings for at-risk students

- Demonstrated success in coaching at the high school level.
- Knowledge of all aspects of the skills involved with this sport.
