Coaching Staff
Coach Stromberg brings nearly 40 years of coaching experience, with 23 as a head basketball coach, to the Athletics program at John Carroll. He began his coaching career at Mt. Hebron High School, assisting the girls' team in becoming six-time Maryland State Champions. From 1995–2000, he coached at Seton Keough and his team was the 2000 IAAM A Conference Champions, and three-time Baltimore Catholic League Regular Season Champions and Baltimore Catholic League Tournament Champions. Coach Stromberg then spent 16 years at St. Paul's School for Girls as the Director of Athletics. From 2000–2002 and 2004–2014, he was the Head Girls Basketball Coach, going 173-91 with an IAAM B Conference title win in 2009. From 2003–2005, he was also the Head Girls Lacrosse Coach with an overall record of 44-5, two IAAM A Conference Regular Season Championship titles, and a Tournament Championship title in 2004. Coach Stromberg went on to Eastern Tech High School, followed by The Catholic High School of Baltimore. While there, Girls Varsity Basketball team won the IAAM C Conference Championship. He has volunteered and coached at various high schools in the Baltimore area over the years.
