Parking Permit

Parking in the John Carroll student lot during the school day is by permit only. Parking permits are $50 for the full year and $25 after January 1. There are no assigned spots in the student lot. Parking on the oval is assigned individually by student lottery.

Maryland Learner’s Permit School Attendance Form

Attention parents of future drivers! The MVA no longer requires any student under the age of 16 to have their school complete an attendance form. The required form will be given to the parent on the day of the learner’s permit test. Please see the link below that contains the new form.

Maryland Work Permit Application

During the 2014 session, the Maryland General Assembly passed House Bill 467 that modifies the requirements that must be met before a minor work permit can be issued. The new change requires the minor’s parent or guardian to certify the age on the minor work permit is correct rather than producing proof of age to an issuing officer (aka JCS). This change allows the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation to grant applicants (minors) the ability to download and print a work permit directly from the website.

From July 29, 2014, forward, please instruct minors seeking to apply for a work permit to complete the online application found at the link below. Once the application is completed, the minor will be able to print the work permit. The work permit must then be signed by the minor, the minor’s parent (guardian), and the employer. Work permits are not valid unless signed by all parties.

Legal Custody Form

If parents are divorced, please submit a certified copy of the decree bearing the case number, judge’s signature and court seal with pages referencing custody arrangement and school contacts to the School Counseling Office. VIRTUS

VIRTUS (Formerly Shield the Vulnerable, STAND) is an Archdiocesan educational tool that brings volunteers to the current level of awareness in protecting our youth. Each individual learns to recognize signs of child abuse, when and where to report suspected abuse, and ensures the behavioral expectations defined in the Archdiocese’s Code of Conduct and Statement of Policy. Health Forms & Athletics Registration

In the 2023–2024 school year, all student medical information and sports registration will go through Magnus Health. There are many benefits to this change including less paperwork for parents to complete each year, more accurate information and increased accessibility for parents and the appropriate employees at our school. You will have continuous access to your child’s health record, even after your child graduates. Please do not upload any documents to SchoolDoc.

‍Effective immediately, you have access to your Magnus Health SMR account through Veracross (click on the Magnus button in the Parent Portal, shown below). New families: please to access your account (enter your Veracross credentials). We ask that you enter the health information required within your Magnus Health account for each child attending The John Carroll School by August 1. If your student plans to try out for Fall Athletics, please use Magnus to register prior to the start of tryouts.

Athletic Training Appointment

The Head Athletic Trainer is on campus each day beginning at 8 a.m. and is available for treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.  Student-athletes have the ability to set up appointments with the athletic trainers during their off mods to treat or rehabilitate their injuries.  During the day is also a great time to have the athletic trainers evaluate new injuries that may arise.

Student-athletes also may be seen by our Team Physician, if the injury warrants a Physician evaluation during our clinic time beginning around 3:00 p.m. (dates TBD).  The athletic trainers are on campus each afternoon on regular school days to provide coverage for games and practices, as well as non school days for game coverage.
