Announcing the Inaugural Immanuel Quickley Scholarship Awards!

John Carroll graduate and Toronto Raptors Guard Immanuel Quickley '18 returned to his alma mater on Tuesday, March 25 to officially announce the newly established Immanuel Quickley Foundation and Immanuel Quickley Scholarship Awards, marking a transformative opportunity for the School and its students.
At the event, Immanuel and his mother, Nitrease Quickley, a Harford County educator, presented two of the inaugural Immanuel Quickley Scholarship Awards to incoming John Carroll students who demonstrate exceptional dedication, leadership and academic excellence. This scholarship will provide financial assistance and mentorship to Boys and Girls Basketball student-athletes, with up to five full, four-year scholarships awarded annually.

The Immanuel Quickley Foundation is a charitable initiative aimed at empowering young individuals through faith, education, athletics, mentorship and community support. Immanuel's commitment to education inspired him to invest in the future of his hometown, giving back to the community that helped shape his own success. The Quickley family’s strong faith also plays a strong role in the effort to help open the door to opportunities for other student-athletes.
Immanuel’s personal journey, from a standout athlete at John Carroll to an NBA player with the Toronto Raptors, demonstrates the power of perseverance, hard work and dedication. As a Patriot, Immanuel understands the importance of education and athletics in shaping a young person’s future. His success story is a testament to how both academic and athletic growth can lead to limitless opportunities. “This school played a huge role in my journey, both as a player and as a person,” Immanuel says. “I want to give back by creating opportunities for the next generation of student-athletes to chase their dreams, just like I did.”
Through the Immanuel Quickley Foundation and Immanuel Quickley Scholarship Awards, Quickley is making a significant impact on the lives of young student-athletes, providing them with the opportunity to excel on the court and in the classroom, without financial barriers standing in their way.
The School is excited to see the widespread interest this announcement has garnered. To see more, read about it in the Baltimore Sun, the Capital Gazette and WBFF; it even received international coverage on Toronto CityTV!
