Envirothon Team Earns Stellar Score at Harford County Competition!
Envirothon Team members Madeleine York '23, Alli Coyne '24, James McComas '25 and Bill Lam '23 gave a presentation on adapting to climate change in front of a panel of six judges at Harford Glen Environmental Education Center.
This presentation is one sixth of their total score for the Harford County Envirothon Competition in May. Our team received an average score of 96 out of 100, earning them second place — only one point behind last year’s overall winner North Harford High School! Plus, there were a total of seven other high schools that made presentations on the same topic!
We also want to acknowledge other Envirothon Team members who helped research for the presentation and/or made posters: Riley Baker '23, Savannah Sieck '24, Josh Ormido '25, Ellery Shertzer '25, Brendan Brooks '23, Annabel Everett '23 and Addy Nelson '26. Dr. Baker says, "I am beyond pleased, happy and grateful for these students who worked hard to research information and then delivered a fantastic presentation!"
