The International Exchange Student Program Returns to John Carroll
John Carroll's International Exchange Student Program is back following a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic!
After two weeks learning in our classrooms, hiking in Harford Glen, shopping in Havre de Grace, touring the Naval Academy in Annapolis, and walking the Nation's Capital, our new friends returned to Germany! We're thrilled that we could continue this 30-year partnership with the Gymnasium Josephinum School in Hildesheim, Germany, by welcoming 12 exchange students and two teachers into our community.
Not only that, nearly 30 students and teachers from our partner school, Lycée Ribot, in Saint-Omer, France also visited in the month of October. They were hosted by many of our generous John Carroll families, and the visiting Lycée Ribot teachers were also kind enough to meet with our faculty members for a discussion about the French educational system, students in France and French culture in general.
A special "thank you" to our host families and the entire community for your warm welcome. These friendships last a lifetime and help our students learn to positively influence the global society we live in. We look forward to the return trips to Europe later this year!
